Staying On-Tropic

Spring is here, and we’re all itching to do the same thing: travel. Or, if you live in my neighborhood, it’s playing on the communal tennis courts— one drop of sun and the world is out there!Alas, I digress.

Our at-a-glance calendars now include travel plans that seemed years away. We’re ready to break out the beach clothing but aren’t quite ocean-side… yet. My suggestion to hold yourself and closets over? Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize.

Keep scrolling to see how to pair one spring dress (aka this *beautiful * Pearl by Lela Rose Floral Poplin number) with transitional accessories that blend everyday with vaycay.

The Wicker Purse

Woven handbags are an *essential* for spring/summer wardrobes. I particularly love this M.Donohue one… it blends traditional rattan with a modern hexagonal shape, which makes it burst with flair. Pair this purse with denim pre-vacation, and sundresses during. The perfect win!

The Sunhat

This fabulous little number is brought to you by Sarah Bray Bermuda. Its size is large enough to make a statement, but small enough to pack in a carry on, and the ribbon is interchangeable! Yes, folks, the definition of versatility and wearability. A must have for any sunny day, no matter the locale!

Woven Earrings

A woven earring is great to have in your spring wardrobe for many reasons: they’re light weight, they’re neutral, and they add interest to an ensemble in a subtle way. The baubles shown in this post are all from M. Donohue, and they all are easy adds to your jewelry box.!
