Monsoon and Beyond

The Suitcase Half-Full

Summer clothes have little surface area… yes? So, why is it that anytime I go to the beach, my suitcase is always bursting at the seams? “What if I go here? Do that? Need this in case…” The list goes on. If you’re a paranoia-packer like me, then you know your suitcase success-rate is slim. Aka, you wear maybe 2 of the 13 outfits that caused you to break a sweat when you crammed them into your bag.

I’m happy to report I’ve found a solution for us over-packers. The perfect label that makes your summer suitcase not half-empty, but half-full.

Monsoon and Beyond Alice Dress

Monsoon and Beyond

In January, seven Monsoon and Beyond dresses traveled with me to St. John. That’s right. Seven. And guess what? They all fit in my carry-on bag. With room to spare, I might add! One look at the Alice Dress explains why I had more garments than days in the USVI.

Each dress is made of lightweight cotton that keeps you cool in coastal temps. Aka the reason why you can pack multiple dresses and not weigh down your suitcase.

On top of that, Monsoon and Beyond is a zero waste company that sustainably sources its materials. Garments are sewn by women trained in rural Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Dehli, with cotton coming from independent mills in the same areas.
