Totally Tangerine
Totally Tangerine
A few years back, I got really into the book, “Secret Lives of Color,” by Kassia St. Clair. It starts by explaining the science behind your eye’s perception of color, and it continues to describe the history of colors and how they impact humanity. Half of you are probably saying “ok, hold your horses, Mrs. Crayola,” but for the other half that are interested— I’ll send ya my copy to read ;)
So, here are my Cliff’s Notes on orange: it’s an energetic color meant to exude confidence, but not alarm. Kandisnsky once said “Orange is like a man, convinced of his own powers,” going on to add that the hue is "red brought nearer to humanity by yellow.”
There’s no better color than orange to wear during a season’s change. Enter this tangerine frock from Tyler Boe! Its vibrant hue will clothe you in confidence, making the most of your spring + summer months ahead.

Wells’s Top Three:
Ok, obviously the Isla Dress! It’s literally so easy and perfect for when you’re going to run errands and feeeeel like you might see someone you want to impress, but don’t want to invest time into planning a top+bottom ensemble. Also goes with out saying that it’s perfect for any beach vaycay!
Victoria Dunn Floral Bag: The CUTEST accessory for spring. They carry a flower bag with orange in it as well. Apparently everyone else agreed with me about its adorable-factor, because it’s out of stock. Enjoy this versatile neutral in the mean time!
Elf cosmetics liquid eye shadow: I truly depend on this product in an unhealthy way. It makes eye shadow soooo easy, and it serves as a primer, too. The easiest + fastest way to get a great lid with high contrast, in my opinion.
Here’s to confidently entering spring and summer!
